Subspecies, varieties, forms and cultivars of plants belonging to the Echinopsis sp. crested forms group

  • Echinopsis sp. f. cristata clone A: has medium sized fan-like stems. Areoles small roundish, greyish-white felted. Spines short bristly, creamy to greyish-whire all quite similar in shape.
  • Echinopsis sp. f. cristata clone B: has stout large fan-like stems and can reach a considerable size (up to 50 cm in diameter, or more ). It general shape clearly shows it relation with Echinopsis eyriesii.
  • Echinopsis sp. f. cristata cv. Mauve: has strong green, bronze green or dark mauve-green depending on sun exposure. It can form large convoluted mound more than 50 cm in diameter. Flowers bright-pink up to 15 cm long and 7-8 cm in diameter.
